Meet your coach

Hi, I’m Calum

Four years coaching people in Paisley who have a job, a family and about four hours a week to give this. Here is a minute of me telling you how I work, and then the longer version underneath.

One minute

Who you’d be training with

Filmed outside Anchor Mills and at the gym I coach out of. If you are weighing up whether to message me, this is the quickest way to work out whether you would get on with me.

I coach at Abbey Mill Fitness Club, Paisley. It is where I train my clients, not a gym I own, and you do not need to be a member there to work with me.

How I got here

I’m a Paisley-based personal trainer with 4 years of experience helping people lose weight, get stronger and most importantly, enjoy the process along the way.

My approach is built around simple, realistic methods that fit into your lifestyle and can be followed consistently. I believe getting results shouldn’t mean cutting out everything you enjoy or following an unsustainable plan. The key is creating habits and routines that work for you and deliver long-term results.

My passion for fitness comes from my background in football, where I developed a love for training, improving performance and pushing myself to be better. Having also worked 9 to 5 jobs and shift work, I understand how difficult it can be to prioritise your health and fitness alongside work, family and everything else life throws at you.

That’s why my goal is simple: to help as many people as possible achieve their fitness goals, build confidence and create standards and habits they can maintain for the rest of their lives. Whether your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, improve your fitness or simply feel better in yourself, I’m here to provide the guidance, structure and support to help you get there.

How I work

Three things I will not do

01

Hand you a plan and disappear

A PDF is not coaching. You get a plan that changes as you do, and somebody who notices when you go quiet for a fortnight.

02

Tell you to give up everything

If a plan means no pub, no takeaway and no life, you will last five weeks. I would rather build something that survives Christmas.

03

Promise you a number by a date

Nobody honest can. What I will tell you is what is realistic for the time you have, and then hold you to it.
